How was the Architect's Day born?
The Day of the architect in Venezuela is celebrated in tribute to the foundation of the Venezuelan Society of Architects (SVA), in the year 1945 by seven renowned professionals of this union among which were Rafael Bergamín, Luis Eduardo Chataing, Cipriano Domínguez, Enrique García Maldonado, Heriberto González Méndez, Roberto Henríquez and Carlos Raúl Villanueva.
They, with the aim of promoting the development and study of architecture in the country, met and signed a society that by 2021, celebrates 76 years of existence.
In 1966, the Venezuelan Society of Architects, became the College of Architects of Venezuela (CAV), a union that is more current than ever and that has an assembly, board of directors, disciplinary court and an electoral board.
